Horses Adopted from Doxy's Horse Recovery

As we continue to re-home beautiful horses this page will contain only the most recent 18 horses adopted and will begin, effective 7/7/2010, to include a bit about the new home and owner.

samson3.jpg

Samson was adopted by one of our volunteers who met him on the day of our Open House in June.  For his new owner, Samson was a case of love at first sight and it didn't take long before she adopted him on August 1, 2010.  Samson will be joining a Morgan barn and will be used for trail riding as well as a horse for giving lessons to new riders.

porkchop1.jpg

Pork Chop was adopted on July 31, 2010 for a young girl from a family near Albany, NY.  He will spend his first year in the arena while his new mistress works with him and a riding instructor and then be used for trail riding.

comet1.jpg

Comet was adopted on July 31, 2010 for the father of Pork Chop's new mistress.  Dad will use Comet for trail riding and looks forward to the time that his daughter and Pork Chop can be with him and Comet on the trail.

golddust1.jpg.jpg

This beautiful gelding was adopted by Dawn from Brackney, PA on July 24, 2010.  He went to his new home via a horse trailer driven by competitors at the Afton Fair.  Stay tuned for more information about Gold Dust and his new home and owner.

girlygirl2.jpg

Girly Girl, also known as GG, was adopted on July 12, 2010 by the mother of Copper's owner who shows Copper in 4-H competitions.  GG will be used for light riding and is living the good life at her new home.

firely.jpg

Firefly went to his new home 7/11/2010 and is living with a woman who says Fireley is like a puppy.  He will be a companion to his new owner and will be ridden for short gentle rides.  His new owner reported spending her first full day with Firefly sitting out in the pasture while he munched away at the lush grass!

We are sorry that a picture of Spice is not available.  She was never listed as an available horse because she was selected by our granddaughter seven year old Lydia who lives in the Buffalo area.  Spice went to her new home on 6/30/2010 after Lydia had saved all of her allowance and money from doing extra jobs to buy her very own horse.
