This page will feature all activities used to promote Doxy's and raise money for the horses. Just remember,
we do not have a paid CEO or other staff. Everything we do is through volunteer hours and a few personal donations.
Although we adopted several horses last year those fees didn't even cover the cost of hay and grain to feed healthy, happy
horses.
Although Doxy's is all about horses we seek to give back in some small part of
what we're given by participating in community events like the annual St. Jude Trail Ride. Doxy's also provided part
of their proceeds from an event in October to flood relief victims. We love to "get" but always remember it's often
better to give than to receive.

SUSAN L. CRAWFORD PAINTING RAFFLE
Introducing
our newest fund raiser on January 21, 2012 – “We Three Kings”, a painting done by Susan L. Crawford, renowned
equine artist, and donated by our neighborhood watch volunteer, Carol. The painting
is 24 ½” wide by 13 ½” tall and is matted with a cream mat with dark brown beveled edge and framed in a dark walnut
frame, measuring 33 ½ “ wide by 23” tall. This painting is perhaps
one of the most well known portraits of all equestrian art, featuring Arkle, Red Rum and Desert Orchid.
The
actual painting will be on display at Lane Cove’s winter open house from noon until 5 PM on 1/21, an event that is detailed

Tickets
are $5 each and are limited to the sale of 125 tickets at which time the winner’s name will be drawn. You have to take a chance on the painting of these 3 champions of British equine fame. Support Doxy's with the purchase of an ultra cotton tan shirt (minimal
if any shrinkage), adult sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL (sizes are "generous"), $10 each. Wear this shirt proudly while
promoting the mission of Doxy's Horse Recovery, Inc.
NOTE CARDS
. . . with
matching envelopes, designed by one of our volunteers will debut on 10/22/2011 at the Norwich Tractor Supply. Great
for personal use or gifts and a good way to promote and support Doxy's Horse Recovery. Adoptable horse and name on the
front with Doxy's mission statement on the back. Cards are $2.50 each or 5 for $10.00, can be bought at events or by
emailing or calling us, must pre-pay including postage if mailed.
